Day 8 – Port St Johns

I had a local legend, Nanto (Deon) join me for a really tough day from about 10km other side Mpande back past the backpackers at Mpande and on via Umgazi Bungalows and Silaka to Port St Johns. Whew!

A huge number of ups and downs made 40km seem like a very long way but the astounding beauty all along the way certainly helped! We are now at the Outspan Inn on the bank of the mighty Umzimvubu River which is a great treat.
