4 days to go!
My list of things to do seems to be getting longer rather than shorter but progress is definitely being made. So far the single biggest item of luggage is Hannah’s homeschooling stuff! Kg’s of books, puzzles, workbooks, educational games.Thinking of ditching it all and letting her learn A B C with a pointy stick on the beach! Biggest challenge remaining is to squeeze eveything into the amazing trailor (more about that later) and get Hannah to submit to her tetanus and hepatitis injections!
We are blown away by the kindness and support of Eastern Capers as usual: Barbara from Murambi Roses will be delivering free roses to my mom every 2 weeks for 5 months because I am not here to do it! Niel Shimaly (spelling?) of Haga Hotel is putting us up for free on our first night, Sean Pike of Wavecrest Hotel is doing the same for us on our second night – amazing! So much for roughing it! Craig Kaiser of Getaway Trailors has worked day and night to get a trailor ready for us at a massively discounted rate.
My mates Mandy and Odette have provided me with a mobile pharmacy and Nicky and Andries of Casa Castile (and Pete’s bum balm fame) have provided me with my own custom made arnica plus, biodegradable soap, insect repellent, after sun etc etc.
[noteblock] You are all amazing :)[/noteblock]
