Day 3 – Done and Dusted

Day 3 done and dusted! Today was a tough day but I am really getting into the swing of things and feel better today than I did yesterday!

We had a forced rest at the Kei Mouth Ferry for an hour because the tide was too low for crossing (and that’s one river I am not swimming!) which was probably not a bad thing.

It was great to bump into the Lilyfontein Grade 5 camp at Qolora – they did some superb cheerleading which put a spring in our step before we hit the home stretch to Wavecrest Hotel (under new ownership and marvellously managed by Sean, Thembelani and their great team).

Crossing the freezing Kobonqaba River (which I know from experience is stocked with a good couple of electric rays!) at full high tide was the adrenalin rush of the day!

Dave Pattle and Lyall joined us tonight and will be taking turns to run with me for the next 3 days. Off to Dwesa tomorrow!
