New Sponsors and Gear

Today has been quite a day! I am enormously proud and pleased to announce that I have a title sponsor (in fact 2 title sponsors!): Global Business Solutions and Mpekweni Beach Resort! Not only do Global Business Solutions provide me with a flexible means to earn my keep (I am one of their a freelance trainers and consultants) they have now (together with Mpekweni) taken a lot of anxiety out of this trip by providing a much needed cash sponsor.

As if that is not enough, colleagues and Global employees, Dave Pattle and Nathan Carr will (almost certainly – no pressure guys!) be joining me for part of my run along the Transkei Wild Coast from Wavecrest to Port St Johns.
[noteblock]I expect to be rather well entertained on this leg.[/noteblock]

I also received a pile of magnificent running gear from New Balance today just in time for my last long run before my rest period begins tomorrow. I couldn’t understand why local motorists on the back roads of the East Coast were less friendly than usual today until I realised that I was probably unrecognisable in my trendy new gear!

With my training pretty much over I will now have an extra 2-3 hours a day to focus on logistics which is a great relief.

[noteblock]only 25 more sleeps until d-day![/noteblock]
